In this paper the structural model analysis is used to research the dynamic characteristics of large turbogenerator frame and the measures applied to the suppression of the severe vibration, The measuring method of dynamic elastic modulus of model material and vibration test scheme of frame are described. The natural frequency and mode shapes of frame, the effects of vibration isolation and suppression, and all the factors that affect the vibration characteristics of generator frame are disscussed....

In this paper the structural model analysis is used to research the dynamic characteristics of large turbogenerator frame and the measures applied to the suppression of the severe vibration, The measuring method of dynamic elastic modulus of model material and vibration test scheme of frame are described. The natural frequency and mode shapes of frame, the effects of vibration isolation and suppression, and all the factors that affect the vibration characteristics of generator frame are disscussed. The results of the research have been applied to two generators. The severe vibration of generator stator frame was eliminated. The largest vibration of the generator frame (double amplitude) was reduced from 140—260μm to 10—30μm in one case and from 90—210μm to 10μm in another.

The comparison of thesec coefficients from the theo-ritical model analysis with these from test data shows that they are in good agreement. All these data may be used for reference in the design of absorber of none-pumps LiBr absorption chillers.
