This paper makes a study of the biological characters of Botrytis cinerea Pers., which infected the leaves of the mulberry. The results could summarize as follows:1. The fungus had a capacity to grow from about 5 to 25℃, and the optimum temperture was at 20 to 25℃. When the temperature was below 10℃ the mycelia of this fungus could still proliferate, but could not from its conidia.2. The conidia germinated rapidly with a high germination rate in the presence of the mulberry leaf juice. The germination...

This paper makes a study of the biological characters of Botrytis cinerea Pers., which infected the leaves of the mulberry. The results could summarize as follows:1. The fungus had a capacity to grow from about 5 to 25℃, and the optimum temperture was at 20 to 25℃. When the temperature was below 10℃ the mycelia of this fungus could still proliferate, but could not from its conidia.2. The conidia germinated rapidly with a high germination rate in the presence of the mulberry leaf juice. The germination was markedly affected by the temperature. Investigations had confirmed the fact that below 7 ℃ and above 30℃ the germination rate was very low, and the optimum temperature lay between 20 and 25℃. However, if the conidia were collected from the field with the infected leaves in October and kept them indoors for the winter, they could not germinate in April next year.3. This fungus grew very well on the PAS or PDA medium containing the mulberry leaf juice. The optimun pH was neutural or slightly acid although the growth pH could be in the range of 4.4 to 9.0.4. The blacklight irradiation could promote the formation of the conidia.

For research on classification of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum and related species, more than 60 cultures of Sclerotinia species were collected and isolated from different cultivars from south and north China from 1979 to 1984. Among them, 28 isolates were selected for study in morphologic and cultural characters as well as in mycelial interaction. For research on classification of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum and related species, more than 60 cultures of Sclerotinia species were collected and isolated from different cultivars from south and north China from 1979 to 1984. Among them, 28 isolates were selected for study in morphologic and cultural characters as well as in mycelial interaction. Two methods of classification reached the same result. 28 isolates were divided into 5 species, of which 4 species belonged to Sclerotinia Fuckel. They were S. sclerotiorum (Lib. ) de Bary, S. trifoliorum Eriks., S. asariWu et C. R. Wang and Sclerotinia sp. an isolate from Panax ginseng. The other species was Botrytis cinerea Pers.

Tianmou Mountain area is important producing area of Cornus officinalis.Recently a new botrytis diseases occured in this area. It made a great of seedling die ofshed leaves and it seriously influence quality and yield of seedling. Disease occured in April-June. This disease was due to Botrytis cinerea Pers ex Fr. Occurrence of disease and popularityhad relation to rainfall and raing days of April-June, humidity of seed plot, ventilationdegree, seedling density and xyloidize degree of seedling.

近年来浙江山茱萸重要产区天目山区的山茱萸苗木,发生了一种新的叶枯病。该病使苗木大量落叶枯死,严重影响苗木质量和产量。病害发生在4~6月。经一系列病理试验,确认该病是由灰葡萄孢菌(Botrytis cinerea Pers.ex Fr.)侵染所致。病害的发生和流行,同4~6月雨量、雨日、圃地湿度、通风度、苗木密度及苗木自身木质化程度有关。
