In this article some characteristics of a simplified model of automobile vibration system with 1 and 2 degree of freedom are discussed theoritic-ally. It is based on authors experiments of the measurements of partial natural frequency and relative damping ratio and the ride quality of automob-ile. As a matter of the experiences in our experiments and spectral analysis, a method of partial natural frequency recognition from acceleration epectrums for the experiments in random road is presented. The paper may be of some value for the measurement of partial natural frequency and relative damping ratio and also for the research of automobile vibraton syst-me.

A study about the affects on the stability of vibration system and the causes under the condition that the damping equivalent of shock absorber is zero or negative is made by means of analysing the damping ratio of motorcycle suspension based on the established vibration dynamic model and kinetic equation. Approaches and proposals are offered for effectively controlling the system's stability and the non-conservative characteristics during design and manufacture.
