1.Huang-teng is used as an analgesic remedy in Chinese medicine. Tomita and Tani have reported, besides mucilage and colouring matters, the presence of two alkaloidspalmatine and Jatrorrhizine. Though some phytochemical work has been reported, no pharmacognostical study on this drug appears to have been done. In view of the great importance of Huang-teng in medicine it was deemed desirable to undertake a detailed morphological and histological study. 2.After a careful comparison of various samples...

Some pharmacologic work has been reported but no pharmacognostic study on the drug has been done. In view of the great medicinal value of it, a detailed morphologic and histologic study is considered as needed. In comparison with various samples collected from Kütsing (曲靖) and Tungchuan(东川) Yunnan, it is proved that they are the roots of the same plant, Aconitum bullatifolium Lévl....

滇产雪上一枝篙是馳名国內的一种民間药。过去对其原植物一直沒有調查清楚,作者由产地調查采集所得原植物标本,經王文采先生鉴定,系毛茛科一新变种植物,暫訂名为Aconitum bullatifolium Lévl. var. homotriehum W. T. Wang。本文对其植物形态、生药外形和組織加以描述,认为药材断面形成层附近呈黑褐色一圈,导管排列不規则和淀粉粒等特征,可与一般市售草乌相区别。
