Comparing to the stainless steel now extensively used, the TiNi orthodontic wire which we have developed, have an excellent resilience, a lower modulus of elasticity, a lower stiffness, and the resistance to fracture of the Wire as a result...

The process and the test method, the mechanical properties, the characteristics of the stress-strain curve of the TiNi orthodontic wire and it's clinical applications effect has been described. Comparing to the stainless steel now extensively used, the TiNi orthodontic wire which we have developed, have an excellent resilience, a lower modulus of elasticity, a lower stiffness, and the resistance to fracture of the Wire as a result of successive 90° bends is also more better than stainless steel. It's orthodontic effect is much better than stainless steel. Its major properties are equal to the Nitinol arch wire.

对牙齿矫形用TiNi丝的合金成分作了选择。介绍了合金的研制过程、实验方法、机械性能、应力—应变曲线特征及临床应用效果等。我院研制的牙齿矫形用TiNi丝比目前广泛使用的不锈钢矫形丝回弹性能好得多、弹性模量低、刚度小、抗连续90°弯曲能力大,矫形效果好。其主要性能不亚于美国的Nitinol唇弓丝。

By applying MBTR-1 dynamometer the deformative force of various labial arehcs and springs made of stainless steel wire and nickel- titanium wire was determined.It proved that the deformative force of nickel-titanium wire was about 1-5 times lower than that of the stainless steel wire.It also suggested that 3 reqirements should be futfilled for the orthodontists to select the suitable kind of wire during designing an orthodontic appliance,

本文应用 MBTR—1型测力仪,测定了不锈钢丝、钛镍丝的各种唇弓和弹簧的变形力。结果钛镍丝的变形力比不锈钢丝低1~5倍。并提出设计矫正器时对丝材选择的三项要求,以供正畸科医师参考。

Spatial motion of a tooth produced by orthodontic forces is discussed in this paper. Rotation center and resistance center of the tooth are computed from parameters obtained by observing fringe patterns on five chosen points.
