    The structure and properties of a directionally solidified high strength cast nickel-base superalloy have been investigated. It is shown that the macrostructure and microstruc-ture of the alloy are controlled by the solidification and subsequently cooling rate. Directional solidification can significantly increase ductility, resistanco to thermal-fatigue and intermediaie temperature rupture life of the alloy. Tensile strength and high tem-

    In this paper, the performances of elevated temperature low-cycle fatigue and thermal fatigue of two superalloys GH36 and GH132 are discussed.
