The results show that under optimum reaction conditions, the conversion of 1,2-propylene glycol and selectivity of methylglyoxal are 98% and 72% respectively.

The results showed that the maximum tan δ was 0.41, elasticity modulus 18.35 MPa and damping temperature range -18~15 ℃, when tolylene diisocyanate, 1,2-propylene glycol were used and the PPG/PECH mass ratio remained 60/40, tolylene diisocyanate/(PPG+PECH) mole ratio equaled 5/1.
