DVN is a virtual network connecting all participants and built dynamically on the Backbone, as it is built when multi party session like video conferencing starts and dismantled when the multi party session finishes. Multicast routing tree, built directly upon the Backbone, can not satisfy the dynamic and symmetric requirements of multi point transfer on a video conferencing system. Thus, dynamic virtual network (DVN) is put forward as a multi point transfer platform of a video conferencing system. DVN is a virtual network connecting all participants and built dynamically on the Backbone, as it is built when multi party session like video conferencing starts and dismantled when the multi party session finishes. Besides all participant nodes, DVN also contains certainly several routing nodes that take charge of duplicating and merging streams. DVNs network like structure can meet quite well the need of dynamic and symmetric multi point transfer, and can unify dense mode and sparse mode of multi point transfer. In addition, DVN may be combined easily with multimedia transfer protocol and real time collaborative model. On the other hand, the paper presents a simple algorithm for building DVN, and explains the processing upon receiving the requests of the users dynamic join and leave. Here also narrated are DVNs routing structure, how multi point transfer is realized upon DVN, and how DVN supports video conferencing. Finally, comparison with the existing method, which builds directly multicast routing tree upon the Backbone, such as DVMRP, CBT and PIM, and a performance analysis are made for DVN.

在Backbone上直接构成Multicast路由树不能很好地支持视频会议系统对多点传输的动态对称的要求,文中提出动态虚拟网络(DVN)作为视频会议的多点传输平台.DVN是连接所有与会结点的虚拟网络,是在Backbone上动态生成的,当视频会议之类的多点会话开始时建立,结束时撤除.DVN的网状结构能较好地支持动态对称的多点传输要求,同时统一了Dense-Mode与Sparse-Mode两种模式,它还可与多媒体传输协议、实时协同模型相结合.文中提出了简单的DVN构成算法,并说明了DVN的路由结构、多点传输的实现和对视频会议的支持,并与现有方法(直接构成Multicast路由树)作了比较和性能分析

The system supports users in different place to interact through stations connected to In ternet, and carry out the collaborative work with WYSIWIS shared window and real time audio and video. The system has also implemented the remote communication protocol expansion which is based on TCP /IP protocol.

该系统支持位于不同地方的用户通过连入Internet的站点进行交互,利用WYSIWIS的共享窗口以及实时的语音和视频完成用户之间的协同工作,并在TCP/IP协议的基础上实现了支持CSCW的远程通信协议扩展。
