    The action of Wave on vertical wall is one of the important problem. in wave theory. The invstigation of it is valuable not only because of the fiact that it will enable us to learn more deeply the important phenomena of the wave motion of the ocean. Since Sainflou established his theory of standing wave, many famous scientists have been waking researches on that problem. This problem should be studied not only theoretically and experimentally, but also should be studied in the light of experiences of the breakwater...

    The action of Wave on vertical wall is one of the important problem. in wave theory. The invstigation of it is valuable not only because of the fiact that it will enable us to learn more deeply the important phenomena of the wave motion of the ocean. Since Sainflou established his theory of standing wave, many famous scientists have been waking researches on that problem. This problem should be studied not only theoretically and experimentally, but also should be studied in the light of experiences of the breakwater failures occured in the past. Therefore when-ever a failure of breakwater occurs in any part of the world, the investigatort attention will be at once taken upon it. On the 19th Feb. 1955, a great damage of the breakwater at port Genoa, Italy occured. At the suggestion of the Soviet specialist A. A. Kasparson(A. A. ), then working with us, a model test for investigating the cause of failure of breakwater at Port Genoa was conducted in our laboratory. After observing and analyzing many times the failure of breakwater in the process of this experiment, We find that it may be classified as concern to the phenomena of failure into two types, namely, types of long-wave failure and that of short-wave failure. As to the failure which occured at port Genoa, it belongs to the type of short-wave failure. In this experiment, the ware pressure on the face of the vertical wall has also been measured. Besides that, for the purpose of increasing the wall's ability to resist against long-wave failure, several tests of strengthening the stone bed near the harbour side are made.

    波浪对直立堤的作用是波浪理论中的一个重要问题。这个问题的研究不仅是进行港口设计所必需的,而且还有助于我们深入地了解海洋中的波浪运动。 自从森弗罗(Sainflou)建立了他的立波理论以来,许多知名的科学家进行了这方面的工作。这今问题不仅是需要在理论上和在实验室内加以研究,而且还应该深入地去研究已经发生了的外堤破坏事故。因此一旦在某处发生这类的事故,就必然会引起各国科学家们的注意。 1955年2月19日,在意大利热那亚港发生了一件巨大的外堤破坏事故。那时苏联专家A.A.卡斯巴申(A.A.Каспарсон)还在我院工作,在他的建议下,在我们的实验室内进行了模型试验以研究热那亚港外堤的破坏原因。 在实验中,我们观察和分析了外堤的许多破坏现象,根据这些观察和分析,我们可以把破坏按其现象分成二类:即长波破坏和短波破坏。而热那亚港的破坏事故则属于第二类。 在这个实验中,我们还测了直立堤上的波压力。此外,为了增加外堤抵抗长波破坏的能力,我们还做了几个加强港侧基床的试验。

    1.With the enormons increase of electrical power loads on board ships.the old D.C.system is very difficult to meet the challenge,the trend is toward the development of A.C.system. 2.A.C.System is not only economical in generating and distribution,hut also made possible the application of squirrel cage motor,which is simplest, cheapest and most rugged rotating electrical machine obtainable. 3.The variable speed characteristics of A.C.motors is inferior to D.C. motors.particularly as applied to cargo winches....

    1.With the enormons increase of electrical power loads on board ships.the old D.C.system is very difficult to meet the challenge,the trend is toward the development of A.C.system. 2.A.C.System is not only economical in generating and distribution,hut also made possible the application of squirrel cage motor,which is simplest, cheapest and most rugged rotating electrical machine obtainable. 3.The variable speed characteristics of A.C.motors is inferior to D.C. motors.particularly as applied to cargo winches. 4.A.C.is specially suitable for large power installations.As the installed generating capacity exceeds 1000 kw.,A.C.is definitely superior to D.C.As the generating capacity is under 1000 kw.,the choice is dependent on usage,for passenger ships,tankers,inland vessels and harbour crafts,where there is little need for variable speed.the superiority of A.C.is quite noticable,for eargo ships, where the electrical load is mainly cargo winches,the advantage is not so noticable. 5.Considering the development of large capacity semi-conductor rectifiers. A.C.and D.C.in the future are not so distinctively different from each other,but may be under a unified system. 6.The author suggests immediate research and experiment works directed to the subject of application of A.C.to ships,and recommends installation of various systems on same type of ships to obtain direct comparisons,and conclusions to be drawn.

    1.由于船舶需用之电量急剧增加,旧有之直流系统难以满足需要。发展的趋向为使用交流电。2.交流系统不但在发电及输配电方面经济合算,并且使使用鼠笼式电动机成为可能。鼠笼式电动机为所有旋转电机中最简单、价廉、坚固之电机。3.交流电动机之变速特性较直流电动机为差,特别在使用于起货机时。4.对于大容量装置,交流系统特别适宜。如果发电机容量大于1000千瓦,交流肯定的比直流有利。如果发电机容量小于1000千瓦,应视用途而定。对客船、运油船、内河船舶和港湾作业船等,变速的需要不大,交流显然有利。在以起货机作为主要负荷的货船上,交流电的优点不显著。5.考虑到大容量半导体整流器的发展,将来的情况将是直流和交流的分界不是截然不同的,而是可能在一个体系之下的。6.作者建议对交流电应用到船舶上的问题立即进行研究和试验,并建议在同一型式船舶上装置不同系统,以获得经验,得出结论。

    The present investigation was undertaken during the years 1960-1962 with the object of making a preliminary survey of fouling organisms attached to the various ships and other underwater constructions in Amoy harbour(including wharf, buoy, cable, etc.). A greater emphasis was laid on the following subjects: the composition of various fouling communities, the biomass of various groups of fouling organisms and the ecological factors affecting their distribution in time aand space.A preliminary study of 14...

    The present investigation was undertaken during the years 1960-1962 with the object of making a preliminary survey of fouling organisms attached to the various ships and other underwater constructions in Amoy harbour(including wharf, buoy, cable, etc.). A greater emphasis was laid on the following subjects: the composition of various fouling communities, the biomass of various groups of fouling organisms and the ecological factors affecting their distribution in time aand space.A preliminary study of 14 species and genera of fouling plants shows that the dorminant plants are: diatoms, Ectocarpus spp., Enteromorpha spp., Ulva spp., and Endarachne binghamiae. The number of species of the fouling animals identified amounts to 109, of which 11 spccies(including Balanus amphitrite communis, Ostrea cucullata and Tubalaria mesembryanthemum)are dormanant on the ships, 8 species(including B. tintinnabulum rosa and Comanthus sp.)are dorminant on the cables, and 6 species(iacluding B. amphitrite albicostatus and O. echinata)are dorminant on the intertidal constructions. The highest biomass recorded on the ships is 3.73 kg/M~2, for the buoy and floating wharf is 7.68 kg/M~2 and for the cables is 8.10 kg/M~2.

    本文是1960-62在厦门海区对各种船只、码头、航标、海底电缆及海中其他建筑物的附着生物的调查结果。报导其种类组成及数量分布,各种生态类型的划分及其生态特点,对影响附着生物的主要生态因子也加以初步探讨。 初步鑑定14个藻类种属和109种附着动物。藻类的优势种属是:硅藻、水云、浒苔、石蒪及鹅肠菜等。动物的主要优势种:在船舶上的是布纹藤壺、(?)牡蛎、中胚花筒(?)等11种,在海底电缆上的是紫红藤壼、海百合及孔苔虫等8种,在潮间带建筑物上的是白纹藤壼、(?)牡蛎及棘刺牡蛎等6种,附着量的最高记录:船舶是3.73Kg/M~2,浮筒及浮码头7.68Kg/M~2,海底电缆8.10Kg/M~2。
