IPbased Video Conferencing (VC) will be widely used in the next generation Internet. Comparison of the two VC technologies based on H.323 and IP/Multicast shows that IP/Multicast technology has better reliability and efficiency. The IP/multicast remotelecture system can be synthesized with multicast and unicast communications to remotely manage lectures. Tests of the system on NSFCNET, an advanced Chinese network testbed, and the CERNET backbone shows that the IP/multicast based remotelecture system...

视频会议是下一代高速互联网的关键应用技术。该文比较了基于H.323标准和基于IP/multicast的两种视频会议技术,指出后者在系统的可靠性和运行效率等方面具有较大的优势。将IP/multicast视频会议技术用于远程教育的实时授课,提出了综合multicast和unicast两种技术的课堂管理解决方案,并在中国高速网试验平台NSFCNET和CERNET高速主干网上进行多点实时授课系统实验。结果证明:在中国现有高速网上进行基于IP/multicast视频会议技术的远程授课是可行的,基于IP/multicast实时授课系统将会得到广泛应用。
