The main technical achievements in the past 50 years' dam construction in China are reviewed,and the future of China's high dam building is revealed.Up to present,more than 83600 reservoirs have been built,and China takes the first place in the world by the number of dams.The sites of large dams in China are chosen according to the natural peculiarities of different rivers,functions of reservoirs,geological and geomorphic conditions and local materials for dam construction.Tables of locations and the time of completion of China's high dams of different types are included.

中国根据不同河流的特点、水库的用途、地形地质条件、当地筑坝材料等情况,因地制宜地选择坝址,建设大坝,目前已建成83600 多座水库,形成水库的大坝在数量上居世界各国之首.本文概述中国50 年坝工建设的主要技术成就,展望今后中国高坝大库的建设.文章附有中国不同类型高坝的建设地点、建设年份、坝高、库容和坝体工程量等资料( 不包括台湾省的大坝) .

Daliushu water complex has a favorable geological location for development. With rich water and less sand, it is regarded as the only possible high dam built in the upper reaches of the Yellow River. This project can optimize water resources allocation and reduce water interception pressure of downstream through runoff regulation. Water and sand conditions can be improved so as to alleviate sedimentation of river courses, sustaining river healthy life and increasing flood and sand discharge capacities....

Under the condition that have not intake water, it can be expanded 400,000 hm2 of irrigated areas and ecological environment can be improved by planting trees and grass. The reservoir can be re-regulated the upper cascade reservoirs and has high profit generation capacity and economic benefit because of its 2 million kW installation and 7.8 billion kWh of annual energy yield. Flood control standard is upgraded for preventing ice-jam. Considering the overall development and harness of the Yellow River, Daliushu project is of strategic meaning that may fully explore local water resources with relatively small investment, and should be developed promptly.

大柳树水利枢纽地理位置优越,是今后黄河上游唯一可建高坝大库的关键性工程,库大水多沙少,开发条件十分优越。通过径流调节,可优化水资源配置,减轻下游断流压力;改善水沙条件,减缓河道淤积和萎缩, 维持河流健康生命,增加泄洪输沙能力;在不多引黄河水的前提下扩大灌溉面积40万hm2,植草种树,再造绿洲,改善生态与环境;对上游梯级起反调节作用;枢纽本身装机200万kW,年发电量78亿kWh,具有很强的还贷及盈利能力,经济效益十分显著;提高宁蒙河段防洪标准,防止冰凌灾害。从治理及开发黄河全局出发,大柳树工程具有重要战略地位,能更加充分合理地利用水资源,也为远景发展留有较大余地,综合效益十分明显,而投资和淹没损失都不大,对开发大西北具有巨大的意义,应尽早立项开发。
