The data of underground water levels from 13 deep well scattered around the epicenter about 180 km before Tangshan earthquake, are processed by use of the pure amplitude, point resistance and the band pass digital filters. The results show that there are abnormal drops of water levels in the deep wells before the main shock, and such drops appear first at the distance of about 100 km from the epicenter. Then, they were propagated with velocity of 5-6 km/month both towards and away from the epicenter. This...

The results show that there are abnormal drops of water levels in the deep wells before the main shock, and such drops appear first at the distance of about 100 km from the epicenter. Then, they were propagated with velocity of 5-6 km/month both towards and away from the epicenter. This pattern is in accord with the time and spatial distributions of the small earthquakes occurring in the same area. It was suggested that the preparatory process of Tangshan earthquake can be divided into three stages: stage Ⅰ, from Jan. 1972 to Dec. 1974; stage Ⅱ, from Jan. 1975 to Apr. 1976; stage Ⅲ, from Apr. 1976 to the occurrence of Tangshan earthquake.

A study on the pyrolytic chromatographic data of the various organic matter of continental origin from a deep well by means of a ROCK-EVAL equipment (a device for quick resolution of petroleum source rocks) obtains following concl- usions. 1.There are distinct differences on pyrolytic diagrams between the humic and sapropelic source rocks,i.e.,the former is mainly characterized by oxygen peak while the latter is dominated by hydrogen peak;but their evolution rules are the essentially same. 2.The depth of Han 2 well is 6018m.The organic matters contained in for- mations penetrated by these wells from middle Miocene to Quaternary had underg- one a complete evolutionary process,i.e.,immature,mature and higher mature (wet gas).The critical point between liquid-gaseous phase is at a well depth of 5300m equivalent to a geothermal temperature of 180℃.The characteritics in each evolution stage can be observed clearly on the comprehensive diagram of pyrolytic parameters. 3.Different types of organic matters follows different evolution paths and resulted in different oil source potential as shown the pyrolytic parameter trian- gular and evolution diagram of source rock.On these diagrams,oil and gas gene- ration areas are divided,and cumulative oil yields of various source rocks can be calculated. 4.The evolution models on humic and sapropelic type source rocks are also given in this paper.

Analysis of data from deep well drilling and seismic survey carried out in the Liaohe oil field during the last decade indicates that the pre-Tertiary basement of the region is divided into three blocks running in an EW direction with two faults lying between. On the basis of the differences between the three basement blocks, the location of these faults running through the Liaohe fault-depression is proposed as well as the character of phorogenesis. According to the author, the fault on the east is the main fault, with the one on the west parallel to it. The differences of their occurrence and activities that evidently had played a controlling role in the oil region during Paleogene resulted in the difference of oil accumulations in the eastern and western parts of the Liaohe fault depression.

辽河油田经过十余年勘探,取得了大量的深井和地震资料,经分析研究发现区内前第三系基底在东西方向上分为三块,中间存在两条断裂。本文在论述三块基底差异的基础上,提出郯庐断裂通过辽河断陷内的位置及其平移的性质。东面一条基底断裂是主干断裂,西面的是并列断裂。由于它们的存在及其活动的差异,对下第三系的油区有较明显的控制,因此造成了辽河断陷的东西凹陷的油气富集程度的差异。
