The method of fuzzy modeling based on fuzzy clustering and the algorithm of nonlinear fuzzy predictive control m entioned above were used to model and control the temperature of glass melting furnace. The result shows their validity.
According to the characlteristic of natural gas, this paper discussed the design of the glass melting furnace Combusting matural gas in the aspect of the furnace structure, equipments and method of combustion, etc, which has certain dvrec- tive furclnoin in the design of the natural gas furnace.

Although the refractories for glass melting furnace in China have made great advances with the development of the glass industry, the conditions like a large quantity of companies are with small enterprise scale and weak power still exist in the refractory industry in our country nowadays, which limit its development, and which become the main cause of hindering its contribution to the glass industry.
