The difference between Monte Carlo method and Markov process model for the multistage reactor system with back flow has been discussed. The effect of random fluctuation in backmixing on the reaction conversion was investigated and simulated by Monte Carlo model. For several special reaction rate equations, the fractional conversion of particles has been simulated with different back-flow ratios by the Monte Carlo method.
