In this paper,the control differential equations of governing are given out first,then the critical condition of stability under small oscillation and the method to detrmine the transient process are discussed.The influences of different factors on the governing quality are analyzed. A procedure of analysis by finite difference method is also presented.Finally, it is pointed out that many projects may be designed and operated without surge chamber, and some problems which need furthur investigation are suggested.

The principle of water hammer discharge measurement in hydropower stations based on the elastic water hammer theory rather than the conventional rigid water hammer theory is presented and a formula is obtained for calculating the discharge, given by

本文用本征函数方法分析了二维模型管内层流瞬态问题,推导出以Bessel函数根的平方为阻尼系数的压力波波动方程。绐出压力波精确解析解。应用Duhamel定理,结果可以推广到管路一端随时间变化的任意压力边界。做为例子计算出管路一端带容器的压力波形和管内层流水锤压力波形,讨论了压力波波形畸变和传输数K的关系。
