Based on the systematic analysis of hydrology, weather, geology, social economy and the mechanism of the circulation of groundwater, the methods of mean distribution of well and groundwater exploiting modulus are adopted to compute the quantity of groundwater resources, which could be exploited in plain area. In order to provide the new hydro-geologic parameters for four principal water resources developing regions in the Mianyang, the experiment of water pumping is carried out in each region.

4.To the recommended exploit program, analysis the impact to the around people by the water pumping, and the influence to the environment by the drain water. And the result is there is little negative influence to the around environment.

It is concluded that the two events are related to pressure drop due to water pumping, tectonic setting for the active fault, existence of thermal water source in the deep, and variations in tectonic stress. However, the changes is more likely caused by the last factor.

According to the above three factors, we can forecast whether or not the draining of the metalliferous mines would induce earthquakes and estimate the future earthquake risk as well.

The pumpage is limited to meet the lowest demand for water.The assigned goal is to maximize the use of the groundwater resource of an area from which the groundwater has been not efficiently exp- loited and to minimize the pumpage of an area in which the ground- water has been overexploited,Objective function and constraints have formed a linear programming model.The Simplex Method is employed to solve this model to decide the optimal developing scheme for groundwater resource in the Yanghe River Basin.
