This paper analyses various factors on the optimum load matching in photovoltaic water pumping system (PVWPS). The PVWPS is simulated carefully under different static heads in load matching, the optimum results are obtained when the maximum of hydraulic work per peak watt capacity of solar cells is considered as the design target. The conclusions are quite helpful to the PVWPS design.
