Sensitivity of CK20, NMP22, ImmunoCyt, BTA stat, urine cytology and cystoscopy was 90.6%, 85.2%, 82.6%, 65.8%, 30.2% and 94.6%, respectively; Specificity was 83.6%, 84.0%, 78.1%, 64.0%, 100% and 100%, respectively.
Objective: To explore the relativity among urodynamics, international prostatic symptom score (IPSS), the quality of life score (QL), prostatic volume (V) and cystoscopy in patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH).
Results In comparison with the results of cystoscopy, urine NMP-22 test might denote 77% (32/43) recurrence of bladder cancer and this positive rate would increase to 93% (40/43) with the combined use of urine NMP-22 and BTA test.
All patients underwent intravenous urography and cystoscopy. Others received ultrasonography, CT scanning,MRI, and vasovesiculography. The size of masses ranged from 3.8 cm×3.0 cm×2.6 cm to 9.6 cm×5.2 cm×5.0 cm.
Proliferative lesions of the bladder, especially those without other obvious mucosa changes under cystoscopy, are common histological variants of urothelium in the patients with chronic inflammation and obstruction of the lower urinary tract.
A ureteral catheter was passed retrogradely across ureteral calculi by cystoscopy.
In addition, a cystoscopy with lavage cytology testing of the bladder should be performed twice a year.
Such changes were not found in a control group of 31 patients undergoing cystoscopy or bladder biopsy.
During cystoscopy or transurethral resection of the tumor, tissue samples were taken from normal and malignant areas and were counted for radioactivity in a gamma counter.
14 cases of renal pelvic carcinoma are reported here and the diagno- ses and operative methods are discussed. The pre—operative and post— operative(follow up)cystoscopy in patients with carcinoma of rena pelvis is emphasized. The patients condition permitting, carcinoma of pelvis should be removed once, including kidney, ureter and periureteric bladder wall.
21 cases of tumour of urinary bladder detected ultrasonographically ard reported, of which, 19 cases (90.5%) were proven pathologically. The advantages and shorcomings of ultraso -nography cystoscopy and cystography in the diagnosis of cystic tumours are compared. The diagnostic value of US and how to im-prove the correctivity are discussed.
Ultrasonographic findings of 25 cases with bladder tumors were reported. Of these cases, 48 tumors were confirmed by surgical exploration and pathological examination.Ultrasonography detected 24 cases (39 tumors) .Cystoscopy detected 25 cases (45 tumors). Ultrasonographic features of bladder tumor were described. The value of sonography in detecting bladder tumor, the approach of ultrasonic examination, and criteria of Ultrasonographic staging were discussed.
