When fulvic acid fractions of different but known molecular weights were separated on dextran gel with aqueous eluant systems, abnormal exclusion and adsorption phenomena were observed, which can be explained respectively by the association of the fulvic acid molecules to form aggregates and the strong interaction between fulvic acid and dextran, both through H-bonding. The gel chromatograms thus obtained varied with the amount of the sample and the pH of the eluant. The phenomena stated above can neither be suppressed nor controlled by the addition of electrolytes or buffer solution, because H-bond-ings in both cases still exist. The results show that although gel filtration do have some fractionating effect for fulvic acid, care must be taken to use it for the determination of molecular weights and molecular weight distribution.

The preparation of a silica-based packing for the aqueous size Exclusion Chro-matography (SEC) is described. The process involved the hydrogen-bonding of a coupling reagent with the silica gel surface followed by ring-openning reactions of the epoxy groups on the coupling reagent molecules by polyethylene glycols. The results show that this modified packing can be used for the SEC analysis of polyvinyl acetate, gelatins, proteins and dextran systems.

And cinna-momun cassia presl have been analyzed by means of flash distillation/capillary gas chromatography/mass spectrometry. The results obtained were similar to that of conventional steam distillation-extration method. But this new technique possesses such advantages: rapidity, simple manipulation, micro quantity of plant sample used and the exclusion of interference from impurities in the extrating solvents. It proves to be a promising tool for analysis of volatile constituents of natural products. The optimum condition of flash distillation has also been studied.

本文采用闪蒸-毛细管气相色谱-质谱法对姜黄、茅苍术、小茴香、肉桂的主要挥发性组分进行了分析,其结果与常规分析相符,对中草药闪蒸分析的条件进行了探讨,实验结果证明,闪蒸分析法是研究中草药挥发性成分的一种简便、快速、有效的微量分析方法。
