In the 1930's, the Valencia Orange (Citrus sinensis L.) Obeck) was first introduced to Sichuan -Basin. But, for the less sunshine and lower temperature in winter there, the serious fruit drop in winter(FDW) had greatly limited Valencia development.This paper reported our six crop-years researches about Valencia in Changshue Lake, Chongqing from 1981 to 1987. We studied the fruit developing characteristics in winter, the FDW and the effects of spraying 2,4-D, GA_3 and BA on the FDW.The tests were designed with randomized block and replicated for 6-7times. The lowest average temperature in 5-days period was 4.2℃ and the absolute lowest temperatare was -0.9℃during our studies.The sugar/acid rate is, just after the fruit colour break in December only 2.8 and above 9.0 in mid-late April, because of the second sugar accumulation above 30% of total sugar in mature fruit and the rapidly acid consumption after the air temperature raise to 10 C or above next year.The main factor of fruit drop induced in winter is low temperature. Our studies showed that there is an involution correlation between the rate of FDW (Y)and the average temperature (X) in a 5-days period before ten days of presenting FDW, that can be expressed into Y=aX~b.The studies also showed that the FDW can be successfully controlled by spraying 25. 75 and 50 ppm 2,4-D in early-Nov., early-Dec, and early-Jan., respectively. If the winter is colder than usual, two additional spraying are needed:50 ppm in late-Jan, and 25 ppm in early-Feb.. In our studies, the rate of FDW in 1986-1987 through spraying was 6.1%, but that of control was 47.6%. The fruit drop control effectiveness of 2,4-D can not be obviously enhanced by adding 25 ppm GA_3 to the 2,4-D solution.

伏令夏橙春季开花后,在翌年夏季成熟,品质优良,可填补鲜食与加工的淡季所以是极重要的甜橙良种。在我国,四川盆地最先引进与栽培此良种,但冬季落果较重,通常可达30-70%。12.5℃以下的低温是脱落的主要外因。我们经过长时间的研究,证实在11月初、12月初与1月初喷布25、75、50ppm的2,4-D各1次;在较寒冷的冬季,于1月下旬、2月上旬加喷50、25ppm的2,4-D各1次,能有效地控制冬季落果,并且对果实品质很少影响。
