Tt/T1 descends with the rising of box height, while the increasing amount of Tt/T1 will be relatively large with the weakening of structure torsion rigidity (torsion irregular structure).

Through the test on WFB assembly hollow slab with cast-in-site ribs by static water, its working performances and mechanical characters were studied and analyzed, including stiffness, deformation, the appearance and development of crack, the combination of the prefabricated WFB hollow box and the concrete.

Through the analysis of 9m×9m, 10m×10m, 11 m×11 m rib floor and WFB assembly hollow floor with cast-in-suit ribs respectively, the author concluded the magnified coefficient of the WFB hollow box to the WFB assembly hollow floor.

We investigate the fractal interpolation functions generated by such a system and get its differentiability, its box dimension, its packing dimension, and a lower bound of its Hausdorff dimension.

In the previous investigations of "liquefaction" of saturated sands, experiments were sually conducted by shaking the saturated sand samples in the box-typed or cylindrical containers of varinus sizes. Evidently, under those test conditions, the states of stresses were only limited to the laterally-confined cases which would not be representative for all the actual conditions in soil foundations and earth dams. Based on the suggestion made by Professor Huang Wen-xi. a series of tests have been carried out in a specially designed triaxial testing apparatus fixed on a shaking table. After analysing the test data, it is proven that the effect of the state of stress upon he pore water pressure produced in the saturated sands due to vibration should be composed of two components, namely, the effect of "hydro-static pressure" and the effect of shear stress. Therefore it is necessary to consider not only the effect of the magnitudes of the principal stresses σ_1 and σ_3, but also that of the ratio between them, that is σ_1/σ_3. The main trend is that, while the other conditions are held constant, the ratio of the pore water pressure △μ created by vibration to the minor principal stress σ_3 decreases with she increase of the magnitude of σ_3 as well as the increase of the stress ratio σ_1/σ_3 There also exist certain limiting values for σ_3 and σ_1/σ_3 at which △μapproaches zero. The experimental results also demonstrate that the stability of the skeleton structure of the sand against vibratory action are apparently dependent upon the orientation and arrangement of the sand particles and the previous process of sample treatment. It is recognized that it is not possible to judge and evaluate quantitatively the above relation simply by the density of the sand. However, this factor should be taken into account in evaluation of stabilities of earth slopes or foundations of saturated sands.

In this paper, the basic principles and main features of a universal computer programme using finite element method of subspace iteration to calculate structural elements of a machine tool are introduced. During the calculation, the structural elements are regarded as a box-type structure made up of thin flat plates. For checking the computed accuracy obtained from this programme, the resonance frequencies and modes of a cantilever beam divided into meshes with different fineness are calculated and compared with the accurate solution obtained from analytical approach. The computed results about the resonance frequencies, modes and forced vibration regardless of damping in a cross-beam of numerical control planomilling machine are also introduced.

This paper presents the results of calculation of a box column model with different meshes and are compared with those obtained from the method using the plane stress triangle elements and the theoretical analysis. It shows that the present method has high accuracy and good convergence with a few eleme- nts. Finally, the numerical results of deflection and wall stress of a five storey large panel building model subjected to the seismic force are presented. It shows a good agreement with the experimental data.
