The control experiment revealed that the released female wasps at different density of 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, 64 and 128 per box all can colonize and play an important natural control effect on rice weevil.
When different amounts of the medium, which were 1.5kg, 2.25kg, and 3kg, were contained in a 30×40×7cm wooden box with 4,000 rice moth eggs/kg, the treatment of 2.25kg/box. produced the highest number of eggs (525,441 eggs/box) and the highest multiplication rate (54.5 times).
Individual neonates were brushed, one per hole, into the holes in a 10-hole polyester plastic box (2.5?cm×1.8?cm in diameter and height) to which 4～5? g of artificial diet per hole had been placed in advance.
