Sulfoaluminate cement is a series of a new variety of cement, having anhydrous cal-cium sulfoaluminate and dicalcium silicate as the main constituents of its clinker from whichrapid hardening, nonshrinking, expanding, and self-stressing cements can be made by va-rying the amount of gypsum added there to during finish grinding. Up to this date, fourtythousand tons of such cements have been produced on industrial scale and used satisfactorilyin the making of self-stressing concrete pressure pipes, miscellaneous...

Sulfoaluminate cement is a series of a new variety of cement, having anhydrous cal-cium sulfoaluminate and dicalcium silicate as the main constituents of its clinker from whichrapid hardening, nonshrinking, expanding, and self-stressing cements can be made by va-rying the amount of gypsum added there to during finish grinding. Up to this date, fourtythousand tons of such cements have been produced on industrial scale and used satisfactorilyin the making of self-stressing concrete pressure pipes, miscellaneous concrete products aswell as for emergent repair work and penetration preventive constructions. X-ray diffrac-tion, differential thermal analysis, electron microscopy, mercury porsimetry etc. have beenemployed in the study of hydration products, process of hydration and structure of suchcement pastes. The underlying principles of the stable quality and high self-stress valueattained as well as the air-tightness exhibited in the mortar and concrete products madewith sulfoaluminate self-stressing cement were clarified. The theory regarding the me-chanism of expansion of ettringite at low pH value was verified; the cause of the earlydevelopment of strength of the sulfoaluminate cement variety was discussed. Finally theevaluation of the durability of the said cement paste was presented.

The bonding even-joints of the Zhen-type Kiln chimney are not of an ordinary horizontal form, but the fact of the inclined ones with a slope on about 8° is one of the peculiar phenomena worthing of study. The paper has made an analysis on the wind existent condition of the Zhen-type Kiln chimney from the theoretical angle of mechanics and the strength of the bonding body, and compared the pulling resistant ability of the inclined mortar joints to that of the horizontal ones, when bonded. The paper has made an analysis on the wind existent condition of the Zhen-type Kiln chimney from the theoretical angle of mechanics and the strength of the bonding body, and compared the pulling resistant ability of the inclined mortar joints to that of the horizontal ones, when bonded. The result shows that the effect of the wind to the strength of the chimney along the Z_(__)Z axis is least advantageous. The chimney bonded with inclined mortar joints has better pulling resistant properties than that with horizontal ones when bonded.

镇窑烟囱的砌结平缝,不是通常的水平形式,而是约8°的倾斜平缝,这是一个值得研究的独特现象。本文从力学与砌体强度的理论角度,对镇窑烟囱的抗风力情况进行了分析,并对倾斜泥缝与水平泥缝的受弯抗拉能力进行了比较。分析结果表明,风力沿Z—Z轴作用对烟囱强度的影响为最不利状态;烟囱采用倾斜泥缝比水平泥缝有较好的受弯抗拉能力。
