This paper briefly describes the flotation behaviour of violarite in presence of sulphurous acid and test results of a low-grade nickel ore at Jinchuan. By the flota- tion rate model (ε/t = b - kε) derived from a kinetic study on various ores, sulphurous acid was found remarkably effective on activation of violarite. This paper briefly describes the flotation behaviour of violarite in presence of sulphurous acid and test results of a low-grade nickel ore at Jinchuan. By the flota- tion rate model (ε/t = b - kε) derived from a kinetic study on various ores, sulphurous acid was found remarkably effective on activation of violarite. Flotation results of samples taken from the different geological prospecting lines were much the same. In general, the nickel recovery can be raised by 8% to 15%. In addition, settling tests have demontrated that sulphurous acid behaves a flocculation-resisting dispersion action which is only due to the effect of serpentine (a predominant gangue mineral). Based on the experimental analysis a tentative mechanism of activation of violarite by sulphurous acid may be expressed as follows: (Ni, Fe)_3 S_4] 2Fe(OH)_3 + 2H-2SO_3——→ (Ni, Fe)_3 S_4] + 2Fe~2 + SO_3~(2-) + SO_4~(2-) + 5H_2O The final test on a refractory composite ore sample (0.58% Ni) yields a concen- trate with a grade of 3.75% and recovery 65.40%.

Flotation characteristics of wolframite were studied by measurement of Zeta potential and adsorption and flotation test. It reveals that Zeta potential of the wolframite sample in pure water is -10mv, and that the surface of wolframite is negatively charged at a pH range of 2.9-11.5 when adjusted with HCl or NaOH. The negative surface charge of wolframite may possibly arise from the crystalline structural characteristics. Wolframite can be activated by multivalent metal cations, such as Fe~(3+), Pb~(2+), Cu~(2+)...

These complex ions react with the mineral surface and adsorb on it by separating out water. Metal cations adsorbed on the mineral surface are difficult to be desorbed showing that a form of chemisorption may be predominant.

In this paper, based upon the three getttering factors of getters——flash factor, surface adsorption factor and diffusion factor, the mathematical model of getters is established. This model is used to clarify the gettering law in different circumstances: if diffusion velocity is very fast, or gas pressure is rather low, then gettering is in the interval determined by surface adsorption; in contrast, gettering is in the interval determined by diffusion. This model is used to clarify the gettering law in different circumstances: if diffusion velocity is very fast, or gas pressure is rather low, then gettering is in the interval determined by surface adsorption; in contrast, gettering is in the interval determined by diffusion. The mechanism of activation and reactivation for getters are theoretically analysed. The repeated reactivation properties of Zr-Al getter pump are experimentally studied. The fallowing results are pointed out: after each times reactivating, the decreasing of sorption rate is in turn 5%, the decreasing of gettering quantity is in turn 17%.

本文根据吸气剂吸气的三因素——蒸散吸气因素、表面吸附因素与扩散因素,研究并确定吸气剂吸气的数学模型,用以说明不同情况下的吸气规律:当扩散很快,或气体压力很低时,吸气处于表面吸附决定区;当扩散很慢,或压力很高时,吸气进入扩散决定区。从理论上分析了吸气剂激活与再生的机理;实验研究了锆铝吸气剂泵的多次再生的性能,结果表明,每经一次再生,抽速递减5%,吸气量递减17%。
