The infective titre of this quail-modified pox virus strain to chickens has been kept at a satisfactory level of about 10~(-4)-10~(-5) which is 2 logs lower than that of the initial virulent fowl strain. 3. The quail-modified pox virus was capable of growing in chicken embryos and causing mortality to infected egg-embryos after 8 successive egg passages, but neither its pathogenecity nor immunogenecity for the chickens has been altered. 4. The minimum immunizing dose (MID) of this viral vaccine prepared from the infected chick embryo CAM was 10~(-4)(by wing-web stick method), and the practical vaccination dosage of this vaccine corresponds to 100 MID. 5. The duration of immunity induced in fowl following a single vaccination lasted 4 months, and a partial immunity still existed after 6 months. 6.     按通过异种动物可以减弱病毒对原宿主的致病力而能较好地保持其优良抗原性的原理,选择了鹌鹑减弱鸡痘病毒。将自然鸡痘病毒102株感染成年鹌鹑的皮肤,连续传代适应后,可规律地产生局部皮痘反应,重者可散发全身痘,并可继续再适应于鸡胚,产生绒毛尿膜病变和痘斑。检验鹌鹑传代痘毒对易感鸡的致病力,证明在通过鹌鹑50代之后,其对鸡的致病力已明显减弱。系统检查不同代鹌鹑痘毒对鸡的安全性,通过强毒攻击试验,证明对各种日龄鸡的免疫性是坚强的。选用第162—200代以后的鹌鹑化鸡胚弱毒作种毒,制取甘油疫苗和冻干疫苗。本文报导这疫苗毒株静脉接种(刍鸟)鸡的安全性,疫苗的免疫试验、免疫期和保存性数据;还有在五个地区鸡场区域试验的显著免疫效果。并初步验证,适应机械化养鸡场应用气雾免疫也有良好免疫效果。现已经农业部制定制造检验规程,交生药厂投产推广应用。

    In the present study the interfering action of infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) with the B-1 strain of Newcastle disease virus(NDV-B1)in embryonating chicken eggs (ECE). was used as a method to diagnose infectious bronchitis (1B).     In the present study the interfering action of infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) with the B-1 strain of Newcastle disease virus(NDV-B1)in embryonating chicken eggs (ECE). was used as a method to diagnose infectious bronchitis (1B). Here the author explored the specificity, sensitivty, method employed and the diagnostic effects on the field cases, etc.The tissue suspension of the diseased chicken, which had been experimentally challenged with IBV, was inoculated into ECE. After 10 hours the eggs were reinoculated with a certain amount of NDV-B1. As a result, more than 50% of ECE had a HA titer of less than 1 : 20. But in the control inoculated with NDV-B1 alone, more than 90% of ECE had a HA titer of 1 : 40 or more. These results showed a clear interference of IBV with NDV-B1 in ECE. It was also shown that the Interfering action could be reversed by neutralizing IBV with Homologous immune serum.The pathogens of the respiratory diseases such as NDV, infectious laryngotracheitis Virus (LTV), fowl pox virus (FPV) and Mycoplasma gallisepticum (MG) had no such interference in ECE.This interference test was employed to diagnose the respiratory diseases on 6 poultry farms. Four farms were positive to IB, while two farms were negative to IB. These results were in accordance with those obtained from "blind" passages in ECE and experimentally challenged chicks.It is proven that the interference test can be used as a method to diagnose IB.

    本试验利用鸡传染性支气管炎病毒(IBV)在鸡胚内对B_1株新城疫病毒(NDV—B_1)的干扰现象作为鸡传染性支气管炎(IB)的一种诊断方法。对其特异性、敏感性、操作方法以及对天然病例的诊断效果等几个方面的问题进行了探讨。 用IBV强毒人工发病的病鸡组织上清液接种鸡胚后10小时,再接入一定量的NDV—B_1,则50%以上鸡胚的尿囊液的HA滴度在1:20以下,而仅接NDV—B_1的对照组中,90%以上鸡胚的尿囊液的HA滴度在1:40或1:40以上,说明IBV在鸡胚内明显地干扰了NDV—B_1,在IBV被相应的抗血清中和之后,这种干扰作用也随之消失。 新城疫病毒(NDV)、鸡传染性喉气管炎病毒(ILTV)、鸡痘病毒(FPV)、鸡败血霉形体(MG)等鸡呼吸道病的病原在鸡胚内对NDV—B_1则没有这种干扰现象。 利用这种干扰现象对6个鸡场的呼吸道病的病例进行诊断试验,结果4个鸡场为IB阳性,2个鸡场为IB阴性,这一结果与用病料在鸡胚内进行盲传继代及小鸡人工发病的结果是相符的。 试验证明,IBV在鸡胚内对NDV—B_1的干扰试验可以作为IB的一种诊断方法。

    Chicken that were 35—55 days on a chicken farm of Mianyang had a Disease with the symptom of conjunctivities ,swelling around eyes,papule and eschar on cockscomb and wattle .The disease was diagnosed as mixed fowl pox through observation of the scene and analysis in laboratory. Some measures were taken in time and have made the disease controlled effectively.
