Siberian Wildrye (Cinelymus sibiricus (L.) Neveski) is a good wild forage grass in North China and is broadly grown in recent times as one of the important grass cultivars of artificial grass lands. Siberian Wildrye (Cinelymus sibiricus (L.) Neveski) is a good wild forage grass in North China and is broadly grown in recent times as one of the important grass cultivars of artificial grass lands. Because of its broad adaptation, cold hardiness drought tolerance, high yield, good quality and abundant seeds, Siberian wildrye will be a perspective forage crop. The stages of growth and characteristics of each of them in the life cycle of Siberian wildrye as well as grass yield and quality in different stages of growth are important criteria for determing the proper time of harvesting. The stages of growth of Siberian wildrye include the stage of emergence, the tillering stage, the shooting stage, the booting stage, the heading stage, the flowering stage, the ripening stage and the regenerating stage. The whole life of Siberian wildrye is about 100—110 days. The yield of green matter is highest from flowering-fillingmilk stage. The rate of drying is highest in the stage of yellow maturity. Hay yield is highest from the dough stage to the stage of yellow maturity. Hay quality is best from heading to flowering and from flowering to milk stage. In production, when both yield and quality of hay are consitered, the proper time of harvesting is about 20—25 days from flowering to early doush stage. For the sake of seed yield and quality, the proper time of harvesting should be from mid, late dough stage to early yellow maturity.

The relation between earthquake magnitude and epicentral intensity is usually described by using the formula M = 0.58 I0 + 1.5 given by S.P.Lee (Li Shanbang) as he studied the Chinese earthquakes in recent times,and the formula M = 0.68 I0 + l.39 Log h-1.40 given by Fu Chengyi and Liu Zhengrong as they considered the effects of focal depth.These two empirical formulas are generally suitable to the Chinese regions.However,we have constantly discovered during the practical research that there exist systematical differences in applying these relationships to the aftershocks including late aftershocks after a major earthquake.The present paper deals with the data of aftershocks after several major earthpuakes which have occurred in North China in recent 10 years or so,presenting a new relationship between aftershock magnitude and epicentral intensity and giving some preliminary theoretical explanations.These new relationships are:M=0.69I0+1.00

震级和震中烈度的关系,人们通常采用李善邦研究中国近代地震时给出的公式M=0.58I_0+1.5,以及考虑了震源深度的影响后,付承义和刘正荣给出的公式M=0.68I_o+1.39Logh-1.40,这两个经验关系在中国地区一般是适合的。 可是我们在实践中不断发现,对于一次大地震之后的余震包括晚期余震,又有可以察觉到这个关系式有系统的差别。本文研究了近十年来中国华北地区的几次大地震后的余震资料,分别计算了考虑震源深度和不考虑震源深度两种情况下的余震震级和震中烈度的关系。通过最小二乘法计算给出 M=(0.69±0.09)I_o+(1.00±0.64),和采用二元线性回归求解得 M=(0.72±0.09)I_o+(1.03±0.93)Logh-(0.45±1.45)。 对比可见,显然余震有其本身的震级与震中烈度的关系式,和一般地震的这个关系不尽相同,即在震级相同的情况下,余震震中烈度偏低约半度。本文从余震发生的应力状态、介质特征以及余震活动的分布特点等方面,给予了初步的理论解释。
