High concentrated commercial CO_2 accumulations have been found in Huangqiao area of North Jiangsu. They occur in lower Paleozoic (Ordovician and Silurian) and upper Paleozoic (Devonian, Carboniferous and Permian) itrata. There is also a small amount of condensate oil(specific gravity 0.7716) in ths Silurian gas-bearing zone.The composition of the gas samples (taken from the highly CO_2 rich zone) has been analyzed. The weight percent of CO_2 ranges from 80% to 90%. A little CH_4 and N_2 content apears...

The carbon isotope of CO_2 shows that δ~(13)C ranges from -2.87‰ to -5.88‰.Based on geochemical correlation technique and geological history analysis, we can conclude that the Paleozoic sedimentary sequences have experienced a long period of late catagenesis or early metagenesis (condensate oil stage).It is a mixed CO_2 gas and it was generated from Paleozoic rock pyrolysis, high transformation of organic matter in source rocks and the cracking of oil.

黄桥地区奥陶系至二叠系发现高浓度CO_2气藏,志留系和泥盆系还含少量凝析油(比重0.7716)。气样经分析含CO_2 80—90%,N_2 5%±,CH_4少量,δ~(13)C_(co_2)为-287——5.88‰。本区古生代地层曾经历过深成作用阶段后期(凝折油阶段)和变质作用阶段早期(石油裂解阶段)的过程。CO_2是由古生代地层中的有机质和原油经热裂解后高度转化而成。并和地层中的碳酸盐岩热解产生的气体混合,是一种混合成因的气体。
