    This is the initial report on false fracture of the equine fibula in China. In 1964 the author had corrected himself in mistaken diagnosis of fibular fracture made previously. A total of 48 fibulae in 26 animals of Equus were examined by using caudalcranial projection radiograpy of the hind legs. Fibulae presented various shapes whether they displayed osseous continuity or not. The two fibulae of the same animal showed bilateral symmetry in the majority of cases. Fibulae presented various shapes whether they displayed osseous continuity or not. The two fibulae of the same animal showed bilateral symmetry in the majority of cases. Of the 26 cases examined radiographically 12 cases had continuous fibulae, 12 cases discontinuous and 2 cases in which the fibulae were absent. One must be careful not to misdiagnose normal fibulae as being fractured . The main radiogphic signs of false fracture of fibula were a radiolucent line in the area between the head and body of the fibula, disphyseal interruption or slight displacement and a few fibulae with broad interspace between the bone sections or having multiple defects. Generally, there was no lameness observed clinically. The questions of differential diagnosis of true and false fracture of the fibula, as well as suspicious radiographic signs of fibular fracture are raised.

There is no significant difference between the right and left fibula in average length (t=0. 876). In conclusion, the upper extremity and its individual bones manifest more asymmetry than the lower.

    本文对甘蓝型油菜小塔品种的胚胎发育,作了较系统的观察,要点如下:1.胚囊的发育属蓼型;配子融合属有丝分裂前型;胚乳的形成属核型;胚胎发生属十字花型。2.在成熟胚囊中,助细胞的丝状器很显著,卵细胞及合子的极性明显,两个极核也很显著。3.在授粉后18-24小时,卵细胞开始受精,在授粉后54-58小时,合子开始分裂,但初生胚乳核则在授粉后32小时已开始分裂。4.从合子开始分裂到形成8分体原胚,为线形胚时期,以后胚体逐渐膨大,直到多细胞球形胚时期,为辐射对称器官分化之前,属于原胚阶段。5.由球形胚进一步分化为心形胚、鱼雷形胚、手杖形胚到马蹄形胚,为胚体两侧对称的分化阶段。6.胚乳游离核在胚囊内作彩带状分布外,密集于珠孔区,围绕着原胚,及密集于合点区,形成游离核群,在心形胚时期,游离核开始形成胚乳细胞。7.少数胚珠在原胚时期由胚柄细胞分裂形成裂生多胚现象,平均出现频率为2.49%。
