This article discussed the investigation of 313 students in school for deaf-mutes.There are 153 cases's deaf-mutes induced by drug in the school,it occupy 50%.The first time,we examine the students's urine with reagent

对某聋哑学校的313名学生进行调查,发现由药物引起聋哑者153人,占50%,第一次尿检查采用尿潜血试纸及尿四联试纸同时进行,结果阳性蛋白尿、血尿、白细胞尿及菌尿共11例;第二次尿检查采用尿液分析仪及光学显微镜进行,结果阳性蛋白尿、血尿3例;第三次进行肾功能检查,结果均正常。药物致聋及肾损害经过8~16年后作远期观察,表明其对肾的影响并不大,但随着抗生素应用日增,药物致聋及肾损害的研究更应加以重视。

These data indicate that the A1555G mutation is one of the molecular basis for human hypersensitivity to aminoglycoside antibiotics. It is likely that the interaction of genes (nuclear and mitochondria) with environmental factor plays an important role in the development of deafness.
