In this paper, differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) was used to study the effects of predeformation and plate thickness on the reverse martensitic transformation of explosively welded NiTi/NiTi alloy.

Martensitic transformation of a 18-8 austenitic stainless steel cathodically charg-

The modifications of martensitic transformation and the shape memory effect of Cu-32.23%Zn-1.84%Al alloy have been studied. A thin plate-like elastic martensite is found after the alloy quenched into cooling medium of higher temperatures, namely, of smaller T_q—M_s. In addition, the butterfly-like bursting martensite may be partly formed after quenched under lower temperatres of T_q—M_s greater.The transformation into bursting martensite increases in amount with the decrease of quenching temperature, and...

The modifications of martensitic transformation and the shape memory effect of Cu-32.23%Zn-1.84%Al alloy have been studied. A thin plate-like elastic martensite is found after the alloy quenched into cooling medium of higher temperatures, namely, of smaller T_q—M_s. In addition, the butterfly-like bursting martensite may be partly formed after quenched under lower temperatres of T_q—M_s greater.The transformation into bursting martensite increases in amount with the decrease of quenching temperature, and it will be completed till—70℃.Experimental results indicated that the shape memory effect of the alloy is only related to the transformation behaviour. The martensite of the thin plate-like, other than of the butterfly-like bursting mode, has such effect. The growth and disappearance of induced martensite plates under bending stress have been also directly observed by the optical microscope.

本文研究了Cu-32.23% Zn-1.84%Al合金的马氏体转变和形状记忆效应。结果发现,合金在温度较高的冷却介质中淬火时(即|T_q-M_s|较小),可获得薄片状的弹性马氏体;而在温度较低的冷却介质中淬火时(|T_q-M_s|较大),除薄片状马氏体外,还出现部分蝴蝶状的爆发型马氏体。随淬火冷却介质温度下降,爆发型马氏体量增大,至-70℃时全部为爆发型马氏体。试验确定,形状记忆效应仅与薄片状马氏体的行为有关,而爆发型马氏体没有形状记忆效应。用光学显微镜直接观察了合金在弯曲时应力诱发马氏体的增长和消失过程。

The internal friction (49kHz), ultrasonic attenuation (4-82 MHz) and Young's modulus associated with martensitic transition (MT) were measured in AuCd alloys containing 46.1 at%, 47.5 at% and 52.5 at% Cd respectively.
