This will give a reliable speed-measuring...

A new technique of measuring rotational speed suited for fluid machinery driven directly by the a.c. electromotor with completely noncontacting method is advanced. This technique is based on the principle that the information of the speed difference frequency and the power source frequency in the magnetic field, let out from the electromotor, is treated through the microprocessor and displays the rotational speed of the electromotor, slip ratio and the power source frequency. This will give a reliable speed-measuring technique (accurate to ±0.05%) to the closed fluid machine, such as diving pump, etc. Meanwhile, this technique will eliminate the inconveniency of mounting conventional measuring transmitter for measuring the rotational speed of the machine, driven directly from the a.c. three-phase electromotor.
