This paper is an investigation on the phenotype of seven eucalypt hybrids in Leizhou of Kwangtung Province. The majority of the trees which shedded the upper bark of the stem were of the intermediate-type....

The pine forest ecosystem we have studied is situated at the purple mountain not far from Dr. Sun yat-san's Mausoleum, Nanjing, Jiangsu Province. Masson's pine trees (Pinus Massoniana Lamb.) constitute more than 80% of the total composition of the pine stand which are 12-14 years old, with a canopy density of 0.7, stand density 120 trees/mu (or 1800 trees/ha.), stand height 5.5m, and average breast-height diameter 11 cm. The undergrowth is mainly intolerent grasses, 60-100 cm high, with a coverage of 40-50%....

本文从生态系统的观点出发,在气候-土壤-植物体系的基础上,运用水文统计分析方法研究南京地区马尾松林的土壤水分变化,确定了一些土壤水分常数,划定了四个土壤水文阶段,揭示了4—6月份为林木生长旺盛、土壤水分供应充足但稍不稳定时期,这一阶段的水分供应对林木生长起决定作用,并指出,若在土壤水分比较稳定的20厘米土层深度以下采取措施促进林木根系往深层发展,就能更有效地利用土壤水分。文中还运用相关分析来研究马尾松林木的树高和早、晚材生长同水热系数及土壤水分供应的关系,以相关计算和相关系数显著性检验表明,尚可利用水热系数(特别是和土壤水分供应状况结合起来)估算和预报林木生长量。

Above ground biomass of 33 Chinese fir trees in a hilly region of Southern Jiangsu aged 2-18 years have been investigated by "divided-storeys" method.
