Chromosome number of 421 seedlings derived from nine crosses of tetraploid pear cultivar 'Dayali' was observed, in which 15 seedlings being triploid of 2n = 3x = 51, 44 being tetraploid of 2n = 4x = 68, and frequency of polyploid produced from the offaprings of 'Dayali' pear being 14%.
