The benefited high quality burden is the basis for intensifing blast furnaces operation. "The benefited high quality burden" means the burden having following specialities, namely: high-grade, stability, heat-prepared, uniformity, smallness and free from fines. A high iron content of the burden is a necessary term for raising productivity and lowering coke consumption. In order to obtain high-grade sinters and pellets with proper stability in composition, high iron content, lower ferrous oxide content, higher strength, close size range and less fines, it is necessary to take efficient measures, such as fine-grinding and having it well beneficiated, improving the mixing and blending of the raw materials, choosing the proper size range of sinters, properly decreasing fuel consumption and making up good proportion of high basicity sinter and low basicity pellet, apart from careful operation and strict control of the agglomeration. Moreover, it is also necessary to have the more powerful agglomerating equipment and automatic control of agglomerating process; these can not only save man power, but also provide reliable means for achieving good quality and high production.

The mineralogical constitution and physical-chemical chaarcteristics of two types of Waoshan iron ore concentrates of the Maanshan steel Co.(produced by magnetic and gravitational concentration) were studied.By observing the macroscopic and microscopic structure of the sinter and analyzing the thermal conditions of the sintering process, an explanation has been found for the sharp drop in sinter strength which occurs when 30% of Waoshan gravitational concentrate is added to magnetic concentrate in the sinter mixture, and a method of avoiding this drop is proposed.The paper also presents the result of studies on the mechanism of the addition of a small amount of steel-refining slag to the sinter mixture in improving the sinter strength, and on the strength degradation with basicity(CaO/SiO_2) between 1.5-2.5. The low temperature breakdown properties during reduction at different sinter basicities have also been determined.

本文研究了马钢两种精矿的矿物组成及理化性能,对于凹磁精矿中配加不同量的凹重精矿烧结矿进行了宏观、微观结构及烧结热工制度的分析,确定了凹重配加量达30%时烧结矿强度严重下降的原因,并提出改进措施。对于凹磁精矿中配加少量钢渣,有利于提高烧结矿强度,对凹磁精矿烧结矿在碱度(CaO/SiO_2)1.5~2.5之间出现强度衰减区的机理进行了研究,并测定了不同碱度凹磁精矿烧结矿的低温还原粉化性能。
