The active content of compound carbon powder in mould sand should be kept in the range of 0. 9% - 1. 1% . The loss on ignition of compound carbon powder during pouring process was about 12%.
Owing to change the flow ability of phenol formaldehyde resin used for foundry, we use lubricating oil(EBS)as a phenol formaldehyde resin used for foundry, and reduce the quantity of resin. Based on the above, the flowing ability and strength of resin are increased from 40~60 mm to 80~110 mm, and gas evolution and loss on ignition of sand cover with membrane are reduced.
