This article deals with the effect of residual rust and corrosion in the pipes on the quality of the water supplied and the capacity of the system, based on field investigation in Dao-Wai district of Harbin. The Compressed-air method of washing, by which an experiment was made on the pipes, has been proved to be quite effective in improving the hygienic condition inside the pipes and increasing the capacity of the water supply system.

The reinforced concrete of durability is one of the basic perfornamces in engineering structure. This paper analyses the main factors affecting durability and their mechanism of fracture. These factors include reinforcing bar rust, salt pollution, alkaline aggregate reaction, freezing and thawing destruction. Some problems existing in the present standard and production are pointed out. The destruction of the above mentioned factors oh engineering structure is illustrated with engineering examples.

钢筋砼结构的耐久性是工程结构的基本功能之一,本文分析了影响耐久性的一些主要因素:钢筋锈蚀、盐污染、碱—集料反应、冻融破坏的机理,指出了目前规范和生产中存在的一些问题,同时用工程实例阐明了上述因素对工程的破坏.
