In our program attempt has been made to select special light quality from sunlight with colored film, in order to put this technique into vegetable cultivation. For this purpose, the characters for light transmitting from agricultural colored plastic films were studied and spectral transmittanee of 10 kinds of colored plastic films and commonused white plastic film (CK) were measured. Furthermore, we calculated their spectral radiant flux and the average transntittanee rate of visible light, the percentage of energy of all color light in visible light. The main object of this paper is to lag down the opticol basis for vegetable cultivation under different light quality.
