It has been noticed that the traditional material, quick lime, is not a perfect one for stabilizihg soft soils especially those containing a high quantity of water and organic materials. From series investigations, a new complex stabilizer, which can be widely used to treat some soils of high water and organic material content has recently been prepared in laboratory by compounding an inorganic additive, SCA, with the Lmie-Portloned cement clinker system. The optimum composition range of the new stabilizer has also been obtained from the extensive experiments of the samples with different proportions of Lime OPC and SCA, in comparison with Lime. On the basis of a comparison and analysis of two kinds of rotor hydraulic system in soil stabilizer, it is shown that, under forced sync-hronization of the rotors, the power flow di-rection and pressure drop or flow rate under load on left and right sides in hydraulic system might be non-symmetric and vary with the load torque and the can bring the non-negligi-ble impact on the service life of rotor and hydraulic system and the performance of the stabilizer.
