Cardiac output was determined according to Fick's principle, while renaI blood flow (RBF) and glomerular filtration rate (GFR) were measured from the clearances of PAH and creatinine. One hour after an i.v. injection of guanethidine 5 mg/kg, normal dogs showed a very slight hypotension, which was relatively more noticeable in renal hypertensive dogs. The cardiac output, stroke volume, and ventricular work tended to decrease tn normotensive dogs, but tended to augment in hypertensive dogs. These alterations, however, were statistically insignificant. The total peripheral resistance was not much influenced by guanethidine in normal dogs, yet markedly diminished in hypertensive dogs. Diuresis was evident during the 1-hour postmedication period in both models. In hypertensive dogs, i.v. administrations of guanethidine caused a conspicuous rise of RBF and GFR, but a great reduction of the renal vascular resistance. In normal rats, following an i.p. injection of 20 mg/kg, the circulating blood volume (studied with I~(131)-labeled serum protein) exhibited a slight but non-significant increase within 3 hours, and returned to the original level at 24 hours. No significant change was found in DOCA-treated rats. Normal rats receiving guanethidine revealed an increase of blood volumes in all organs, especially spleen and kidney. These results demonstrate that the hypotensive action of guanethidine is not via the reduction of blood volume, but by way of a vasodilator action, which particularly amends the ischemic state of kidney and thus alleviates the pathologic process of renal hypertension.

It is pointed out in this article, as river processes are tightly related with structures of circulating flow, closed or spiral, comprehension on the former, either quantitative or qualitative, can never be well accomplished if only longitudinal flow along the river axis is considered, as done in now a days. The elassification and general features of circulating flows are explained. General processes of different modes of river stretch as well as stability of rivers in alluvial plains are described;...

It is pointed out in this article, as river processes are tightly related with structures of circulating flow, closed or spiral, comprehension on the former, either quantitative or qualitative, can never be well accomplished if only longitudinal flow along the river axis is considered, as done in now a days. The elassification and general features of circulating flows are explained. General processes of different modes of river stretch as well as stability of rivers in alluvial plains are described; and their relatons with the structures of circulating flow are illustrated in detail. In the end, attention is called to pay on that systimatic reaserch work on structures of circulating flow and their relations with river process may push upward the branch of science—River Dynamics to a higher level.

本文在指出現阶段中、只是凭藉縱向水流的分析、研究河道演变问题、所存在的局限性以后,說明了环流的涵义、分类和共同性質;通过各种类型河段的演变特征闡述了环流結构与河道演变的关系;探討了环流結构与冲积平原河流的稳定性的关系。最后指出,在重視水流紊动結构的观测試驗研究工作的同时,应該强調环流結构及其与泥沙运动的关系的观測試驗研究工作。这种系統而深入的观測試驗研究工作,有可能把河流动力学从現有水平推向更高阶段。

After a brief review about the problems of sediment deposition in irrigation canals and the general devices to reduce the quantity of suspended sediment entering the irrigation headworks, a layout based upon theory of circulating flow is proposed. By means of analysis of some existing data in engineering practice and theoritical treatment, circulating flow is proved to be efficient for reducing suspended sediment entering irrigation headworks, especially for those d>0.04mm, which usually composes the greater part of deposit in irrigation canals. For developing circulating flow, a channel-bend and a side-sluice are laid before the head-regulator.

本文对悬沙河流灌溉取水工程中所存在的泥沙問題及經常采用的防沙措施进行了分析,探討了利用横向环流減少悬移質泥沙入渠的可能性,并从工程实践和理論分析两方面論証了其实际效益,最后提出了在一定条件下設置弯道和侧面排沙渠,造成横向环流,以减少泥沙入渠的建議。
