To obtain the tomograph of body tissues by ultrasonic echoes and then to improve the quality of images by digital processing method is one of the important techniques of medical diagnosis. The digital processing methods of ultrasonic medical images are reviewed in this paper. (a), Digital filtering technique. The accumulative average, low-pass, high-pass, notch filtering and band-pass of the medical ultrasonic informations may be realized by linear digital filters. The real time processing can be realized by using the Discrete Fourier Transformation (DFT) and the Fast Fourier Transformation(FFT). The distortion of the ultrasonic informations produced by the filtering effect of the body tissues may be corrected by inverse filtering or deconvolution. Algorithm with "template" is a convenient and flexible method. In addition, non-linear filtering technique such as homomorphic filters may also be used to improve the quality of the images. (b), Image enhancement technique. Histogram equalization, non-linear stretching, interpolation, pseudo-coloring methods etc. may be used for image-enhancement. In addition, it is possible to raise the diagnostic precision by using the edge detection and contour tracing methods. (c), Ultrasonic Computerized-Tomograph (UCT). This is a new ultrasonic image processing method. While still in the laboratory stage, it calls for close attention.

Automatic recognition and classification utilizing statistical pattern recognition method for cell images can be performed by computers, and the feature extraction and selection are considered to be the key points of this method. For each cell, three different feature sets have been extracted by a cell image analysis system. Three feature sets were adopted, including 20 global features, 10 statistical histogram features and 3 color features. About 200 lung cells have been classified into two classes: marked atypical squamous metaplasia cells and well-differention squamous carcinoma cells. As a result of the classification, it has been proved that the result obtained by the utilization of all the three feature sets is rather better than that as the utilization of one or two of them, the number of cells which agree with the visual assignment can be obtained more than 80%. In this paper, the nature of the three feature sets and their effects on the classification results have been mainly analyzed.

应用统计模式识别的方法对细胞图象进行计算机自动识别时,细胞特征的抽提与选用是重要的一环。我们在所建的细胞图象自动分析系统上对每个细胞抽提了不同性质的三组特征共 33个。即 20个综合性特征、 10个统计性直方图特征和 3个颜色特征。并对约200个呼吸道(肺)细胞中的重度不典型化生细胞和高分化鳞癌细胞进行自动分类。试验结果证明:综合选用三组特征比仅选用其中的一组或两组特征的效果好。正确识别率达80%左右。本文重点就三组特征的性质及其在细胞自动识别与分类中的作用作一初步的分析。

This paper deals with digital image registration and mosaicing on the interactive image processing system as I2S 101. There are two interactive steps to be taken in accomplishing the digital image, registration and mosaicing work. Step one is to pick up the control point set which determines the geometric position of images, and then to derive a geometric transform for registering one image to another from those points. The geometric transform may be affine or nonlinear. Step two is to determine the parameters of brightness transform from histogram or other statistical value. Generally, brightness transform is piecewise linear mapping. Th final part provides the reader with some practical problems for further research.

本文讨论在交互式图像处理系统I~2S101上进行遥感图象数字配准与镶嵌的问题。交互式数字图象的配准与镶嵌主要由二个步骤来完成:第一步是由人在显示屏幕上选择确定图像几何位置的控制点集,然后由此确定一幅图像几何变换使两幅图像在几何位置上配准。几何变换可以是仿射变换,也可以是非线性的。第二步就是由直方图和其它统计量来确定图象象元灰度值变换的参数,灰度变换一般采用分段线性变换。最后,根据实际工作中的一些问题提出了进一步研究的若干问题。
