A molecular genetic map of sorghum was constructed with a 252 F5 recombinant inbred line(RIL)population from a cross of two sorghum lines ICSV745 and PB15881-3 by using SSR markers. ICSV745 is a spotted stem borer susceptible breeding line whereas PB15881-3 is resistant to spotted stem borer. The map consist of 10 linkage groups and include 104 genetic markers.
ccording to principle of progressively two-grade discriminatory by Fisher rule,the authors analyse the data about the occurrence of the second generation of the corn borer in 21 years of 1965～1986(except 1980)at Linyi,Shandong Province,and then deduce three mathematical models of progressively two-grade discriminatory.
The result showed: ffi. 62266-42-6-2 and CT9993-5-10-1-M were significantly different in the resistant level for SSB, and this proved them to be potential as experimental material for identification of genes (QTLs) controlling stem borer resistant.

These findings would consequentially contribute to the further successfully biological control of the trunk borer.
The given changes are hypothesized to result from borer influence as well as from differences in salinity and oxygen concentration in the studied regions.
