The results are in keeping with the values in literatures.Neither the flow rate of the hydrogen carrier gas from 78.4ml /min to 96.0 ml/min or the injection amount of nitrogen inert gas between 0.2 ml and 1.0 ml affect the experimental results.The amount of PVA in the columns varies between 0.5241 g and 0.8487 g. Under the conditions of the experiments conducted by the authors, it seems, no effects are observed on the determination of the glass transition temperature of PVA, whether Chromosorb W AW-DMCS (60-80 mech) or Chromosorb W-HP (100-120 mech) is use as the inert chromatographic support.

Major conditions for analysing quantitatively were as follows. PEG-20M capillary column, column temperature 95℃, split ratio 1/18,1inear velocity of carrier gas 18cm/s, flow of auxiliary carrier gas 46ml/min. Experimental results indicated that iso-menthol's content was 70.4% and recovery was 105% Finally, experimental errors were discussed.
