The products with constitution of (Sr_(0.8)Ba_(0.2))_(0.95)Eu_(0.025)Li_(0.025)SiO_3 or Sr_(0.95)Eu_(0.025)Li_(0.25)SiO_3 show the greatest intensity ofillumination. The property of the product has been studied by means ofx-ray powder diffraction, laser fluorescence and illuminant spectroscopy....

Using hollow cathode lamps, the atomic state lifetimes have been measured by laser fluorescence spectroscopy. The results coincide with the data obtained by other methods. This technique has proved its simplicity and versatility compared with others.

Porphyrin, oxygen and light are the three basic factors for photochemical treatment of cancer. In this article the laser fluorescence spectra and the singlet oxygen relative quantum yield of hematoporphyrin and its derivatives are deter- mined. The results indicate that the laser fluorescence intensity and the singlet oxygen quantum yield of hematoporphyrin are better than others and they may be effective photosensitizers.
