Combining mechanical theories with polymer material science and physical science, our workgroup has invented a technically innovative method to prepare polymeric nano-composites in-situ, and PA6/SiO_2 nano-composites were synthesized by the method which is ordinary and to obtain nano-SiO_2 and PA6 simultaneity.
Base on the interior multi-scale structures that polymeric nano-composites are constructed by, a theoretical model which can describe the interior multi-scale structures of polymeric nano-composites is provided to study the mechanical behaviour of the polymeric nano-composites.
Using the structural model, macroscopic effective mechanical properties of typical semi-crystalline polymer such as PA6 has been studied. Enlightened by the above ideas and theories, I started my research. Typical polymeric nano-composites, PA6/SiO_2/PTT, is prepared in the present research.
