This paper presents a new method for treatment of the pesticide remain of vegetables and fruits_gas discharge under high voltage first time in the world. The method which can generate high density ozone and the mechanism of the degradation of pesticide remains are introduced. This paper presents a new method for treatment of the pesticide remain of vegetables and fruits_gas discharge under high voltage first time in the world. The method which can generate high density ozone and the mechanism of the degradation of pesticide remains are introduced. The results in treating pesticide remains and sterolizing pathogenes and virus show that vegetables and fruits stained by pesticide, pathogenes and virus can be consumed safely after being treated by gas discharge under high voltage. The experiments prove that this method is worthy of populization.

ince the massive food poisoning outbreak in 1987,imported vegetables contaminated with methamidophos continued to cause sporadic food poisoning outbreaks in Hong Kong.Despite various administrative measures to lower the risk of importing vegetables,it is evident that the occurrence of sporadic food poisoning outbreaks cannot be completely stemmed out.The education of the public on the effective ways to remove methamidophos from the contaminated vegetables was reckoned to the another preventive measure against food poisoning.A study was carried out to evaluate the effectiveness of various ways of treating the vegetables before consumption.In this study,the removal of methamidophos by simply washing with water at near room temperature was found to be a slow process.The concentration of methamidophos was reduced by about 65% after washing in water for an hour.Further washing did not improve the situation.The addition of detergents and various washing aids including potassium permanganate,hydrogen peroxide,sodium bicarbonate and vinegar did not greatly enhance the removal effectiveness.Among the various treatment procedures,soaking in hot water was the most effective way to remove methamidophos from vegetables.Less than 10% of the pesticide remained in the vegetables after soaking in boiling water for 1 minute.

自1987年底开始,由于进食含有高浓度甲胺磷的蔬菜而中毒的事件在香港时有发生。除了采取不同的行政措施,以防止受农药污染的蔬菜进入香港之外,教育市民利用各种有效方法,在进食前清除蔬菜上可能含有的甲胺磷,亦是防止食物中毒的一种有效措施。这份研究报告评估了各种处理方法的效果,例如用清水冲洗蔬菜,加入洁净剂清洗蔬菜,沸水浸泡或炒煮。结果显示在室温下用水冲洗蔬菜,藉以除去蔬菜上的甲胺磷,过程缓慢,将蔬菜在清水中冲洗1小时亦只能除去65%的甲胺磷,纵使再继续冲洗过程,情况亦不会有大改善。加入各种洁净剂,包括洗洁精、高锰酸钾、过氧化氢、碳酸氢钠及醋于清水中,亦对于清除蔬菜上的甲胺磷没有显著的改善作用。比较各种处理方法,以在沸水中浸泡最为有效,在浸泡1分钟后,蔬菜上残留的甲胺磷减少已超过九成。
