The Self-adaptive algorithm of the model coefficient is discussed, when new information is obtained, to meet the needs of application over a long period of time.

Based on the investigation and analysis of the motor vessels, cargoes, handling capacity of Zhoushan port and the various economical indexes, the study was conducted to forecast the cargo handling capacity of Zhoushan port by the gray system theory and to determine the effect of per ton coal handling capacity on the social economy. Finally, some suggestions were made about how to enhance the effect of Zhoushan port on the economy according to these results.

The cargo-handling capacity of Ningbo Port has been greatly increasing over the past few years. But large vessels going at the port still use Xiazhimen One-way route, which does not match the development of Ningbo Port. It is shown that there are two schemes for vessels outward while the current XiaZhimen channel can be used for vessels inward. Traffic separation scheme(TSS) can be used to achieve these schemes.
