The development of filtration theory of fiber materials at home and abroad was summarized. The efficiency and pressure drop calculation formulas of fiber materials were given out. Some problems about theoretical research were analyzed.

In this paper the orifice plate performance test results are presented. In the tests three types of orifices (single, double and two single orifices in series) and four mediums (water, kerosene, diesel-oil and motor-oil) were used.
