This paper reports the separation of chromium (Ⅲ) by liquid-solid extraction with 5-Br-PADAP and molten naphthalene. Chromium(Ⅲ)is quantitatively extracted from 1M NaAc-Cl_3 CCOOH medium which pH is 3.5±0.1.The apparent molar absorptivity is 4.7×10~4l·mol~(-1)·cm~(-1) at 590nm. The countituent of complex is established as Cr:Cl_3Ac~-:5-Br-PADAP=1:2:1. This system obeys Beer's Law in the range of 0~10r Cr/5ml (CHCl_3). This method has been used in the microgram amounts determination of chromium with satisfactory...
