This article reports on isolating six strains of anaerobic and facultative anaerobic bacteria by using technologies of anaerobic culture. ABSTRACT The in vitro antibacterial activity of Lomef loxacin, a new Fluoroquinolone, against 1,059 strains of bacteria was studied. Except for 9 strains of Providencia rettgeri with MIC_(50) of 64mg/L, the MIC_(50) of most other Gram negative aerobic bacteria were 0.06~0.5mg /L. H. influenzas, N. gonorrhoeae and E. coli were highly susceptible to Lomef loxacin. Against MRSA, Staph. epideomidis, Enterococci, Pn-eumococci and other Streptococci were weak. Bacteroides sp. were resistant to Lomefloxacin....

An artificial compatibility of Methanobacterium thermoformicicum 602B3 with molasses-fermented Bacteroides sp. 5G-102 was studied. A suitable medium for their mixed cultivation was established and composed of (g/L): CaCO3 50.0, NaHCO3 4.0, Na2S 0.16, NH,C1 1.07, K2HPO4 1.04, MgCl2 0.19, molasses 40 (V/V), H2O 1L; initial pH 6.8-7.2; optimum temperature 60℃. Cultivating 48h under these conditions, its methane production reached to maximum, about 45.0 mmol/L. The success of artificially mixed culture provides a promise for further sdudying its applicability to enhanced oil recovery.
