Based on the setting up of the function relation between the radiantbrightness of ice-surface and the elevation control point in Antarctica,the experiments for the extraction of elevation information by using Landsat TM band 6 thermal infrared image,and the ice-surface topographical mapping in Antarctica havebeen performed.
In this article, the author uses thermal infrared image to interpret in great detail the potash anomaly in Luobupo salt lake area, gains a series of thermal characteristic information of the potash anomaly area, discusses thermal field variety and its meaning within salt lake area, explains for formatting mechanism of thermal infrared information related with the potash anomaly. Finally, the thermal infrared image pattern for potash anomaly is supposed, which is the new method of finding potash anomaly in modern salt lake area using remote sensing technique.
